Connect your AI (MCP)
Safety and rate limits
How cnvrtlocal keeps your workspace safe when an AI app is connected.

Safety
- You choose the permissions. Apps get only what you allow. Leads are off by default.
- One workspace per connection. The AI can't reach your other workspaces. It's checked on every call, along with your current membership.
- Nothing goes live on its own. Approvals always need a person. That includes scheduling blog posts: a batch only takes effect once you approve it.
- Drafts only. AI-built sites and pages are saved as drafts. Changes to a live site wait for your approval.
- Untrusted text is marked. Lead messages, and text read from Google listings or business websites, are marked as untrusted. The AI is told never to follow instructions found inside them.
- Every call is recorded. cnvrtlocal keeps a log of what each AI app did. Lead contents are never written to it.
- You can cut off access any time. See Troubleshooting and revoking.
Rate limits
To keep things fair and stable, each AI app is limited:
| Limit | Amount |
|---|---|
| Per person, per app | 60 calls a minute |
| Per person, per app | 600 calls an hour |
| Per app, across everyone | 1,200 calls a minute |
If you hit a limit, wait a moment and try again. Your plan's normal limits, monthly quotas and AI budgets still apply on top.
Known limits
- An editor tab left open on a site can save over a change your AI just made. Reload the tab after the AI changes a site.
add_pagecan't create the custom page type.- Blog posts are scheduled in batches of 1 to 31, and every post needs a future time with a timezone offset. See Scheduling blog posts.
- Section edits cover text, list items, links and colours. See Editing sections for what isn't supported yet.
- Header and footer can't be added, moved, hidden or removed, and only CTA banners can appear more than once on a page. See Adding, moving and removing sections.
- Your AI can't add custom code sections, change a section's layout, set a background colour or video, or crop or edit an image.
remove_sectiondeletes a section for good, like the builder. There's no undo or trash. The removed content is returned in the result, and your AI is steered to hide the section instead.- Images from a link must be
https://, up to 10 MB, and PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or AVIF, between 16 and 8,000 pixels a side. SVG isn't accepted. They're copied into your site's storage, never hotlinked. See Images. - AI-made images use your AI credits.
